MMI: meal plan schedule + toolbox

As usual, linking up with the wonderful Tara for Monday Made It!

First up is my weekly meal plan schedule. I need to get back in the groove of eating healthy so hopefully this helps. Simple but useful. 

The next made it is my Toolbox! Bought it from Ace and it's gray which is my new fave color at the moment. I was going to spray paint it black, but it ties in with my next made it, so left it :) I'm contemplating buying these labels from One Fab Teacher because they are just TOO CUTE. But using clear contact paper from Dollar Tree, attached these labels to the side as a reminder for me and the kiddos :) [Added a placemat to the back of the toolbox where it's open. Trimmed a little, but it's the perfect fit!]

Last made it. I saw this set by Math in the Middle and admired it. Except most of the vocab wouldn't work for my kiddos, so made this. Adore the color combo and can't wait to hang in my class :)

Well there you go, my made it's! A bonus one [e-mail me if you're interested]. I adore the CRAP out of Supernatural and Jared Padalecki said this beautiful quote. So whipped up a poster for it and going to put in my class! [notice the gray, black, and rainbow]

And that's all for today. School is starting up soon - stress level is super high! 

how is it JULY?!

Linking up with Farley at Oh Boy 4th Grade for this month's Currently. It's already July and that BLOWS my mind!

Listening: Has the ticking always been this loud?!

Loving: Man, I need this break. It's been amazing to do NOTHING school-related. YET. Now it's crunch time since July is hitting. 

Thinking: Time has been speeding by! It's been a month off school and I feel like I haven't accomplished anything on my to do list yet

Wanting: I've been yo-yoing with my weight loss and I need to get my butt in gear. SERIOUSLY. I was doing great - 80 pounds - but got cocky or something because been eating everything and not working out. SIGH. 

Needing: More time. We all wish that, though? I need to learn to chill though and take it minute by minute. ENJOY it. 

All STAR: I'd like to think I'm thoughtful, or so I've been told. I like making it a point to make sure I wish people on their birthday, I text them randomly, I bring them something if I see it and think of them, I try to make them feel better. I attempt to make sure people know they're loved <3 

....seriously, I still can't process it's JULY. WHAT EVEN. 

MMI 6/22: Necklace Holder

Not a school Made-It but that's okay right? Linking up with Tara for Monday Made It!

I've been wanting a cute way to display necklaces and saw this around Pinterest and such so made it. All you need is a bulletin board (or cork board!), some fun scrapbook paper, spray adhesive, push pins, and your beautiful necklaces. The 12X12 scrapbook paper wasn't enough so I added a bit more on top :) I love the final outlook of this project! Just spray, glue, pin! A hint: I used Command Strips to hang it up and they work wonderfully.

Hope I get to some fun school stuff soon, but I'm enjoying summer!

Monday Made It - July 7

Woo Hoo it's Monday! 

Man, Tara makes me and all of us I think more productive during summer doesn't she? Some of my made-its this time are superhero related bc I'm going kind of with that theme for this upcoming school year :)

My first made it is a punch card for the kiddos. I have a shoe organizer on the back of my door numbered for the kids. I used a punch card last year but was not consistent about it! They put the punch card in that slot (there were up to three in there for my three classes) so they didn't have the excuse of losing it. I'm doing something similar and sent out the design to VistaPrint 2 nights ago :) So I'll punch the hole every time they bring in HW and after the 10th one, free hw pass!

You've all seen those wait, did you remember to write/highlight your name tags...Well, I put an Avengers twist on it ;) A super simple made it that cracked me up!

And my last made it for the week is my planner! I bought it from Tina's Teaching Resources, customized it a little, added some extra pages, and then printed and bound it. Guys, I ADORE this thing. The colors continuously make me happy haha. I added a Bloom's page, a class birthdays page, changed up one of her covers to make meeting notes pages, and then added my own notes pages (the last two things are prob. my fave pages in the planner). Her planner does come with notes pages, I just liked my version a little more :D Just glancing at it makes me feel satisfied :)

Yay! Can't wait to check out other made its :)

July Currently!

I love linking up with Farley's Currently's :)

Most are self-explanatory. As for the wanting, it's 2:30 AM and I'm still up. It's Ramadan so technically I could be asleep, but I have to be up at 4 to eat and I've been sleeping late anyway, so I've just been staying up all night instead (waking up on 3 or 4 hours of sleep makes me super cranky). It's been three days. This may not last all month, but it's been okay so far. I'm getting about 5-6 total hours of sleep in the day, but since it's for the sake of my God, it works :)

As for a proper vacation - I want to go OUT. I don't mind relaxing at home, but it's more fun to be on a cool vacation - whether a busy city or out on the beach!

I've been meaning to read this for a while, and it's pretty good! Still in the beginning part, but it's definitely well written. I hope I'm satisfied by the end of it!

I found these ADORABLE sticky notes at Wal Mart and they pretty much say my name! I'm all about the colorful chevron and zebra print :D 

I bought a printer! It's a Brother MFC J450DW and it's pretty decent. The main reason I bought it was the planner sitting on top of it, not even going to lie. I'll have more details on the planner for next week's Monday Made It, but I needed a new printer anyway and this was at a decent price! Only downfall is after printing all that I'm already low on ink :( [the fast draft option kept jamming the paper and doing other silly things]

A Busy Monday!

I needed an updated no name board and decided to go with this! Cork board covered with scrapbook paper, letters cut out from more scrapbook paper, and clothespins with tacks glued on the back :) (I used adhesive spray which may be my new favorite thing ever)

2. Linking up with The Teaching Tribune for Monday Meet Up. The topic was three things you're thankful for. 

I hope I get to meet some awesome new people :)

3. I found a tutorial to customize Pinterest covers and that may be what I spend my afternoon doing! Ladybug Teacher Files has an awesome tutorial here and man oh man I've been admiring my boards haha. My Pinterest link is in the sidebar if you're interested :)
