Disney DIY-s!

I had the best time making these items for Disney! I made 4 shirts, and then an autograph felt banner. I got all the shirts from Target and the felt from Hobby Lobby.

I used my cricut machine and I think they turned out pretty decent :)

Day 1 at the Magic Kingdom. I bought this SVG file. I used rose gold HTV on a black shirt.

I created this design from teacher fonts (inspired by this) - the bottom cut off sadly :( White htv from Amazon on a gray shirt. 

I bought this svg from here with black glitter HTV on a white shirt. 

I made this for my niece from this SVG with this galaxy htv. 

And I made this from a rose gold htv on felt, trimmed the felt, and hot glued a tassel banner on the edges. 

We're going this weekend and I'm SO STOKED!

Unicorn Birthday Iftar

It's been over a year since my last post, WHOOPS! I come back with a unicorn iftar birthday party for my 30th (😯)! I apologize for any terrible picture qualities in advance!

3 vinyl tablecloths (HEB) to make up backdrop, HOORAY banner (Target), and unicorn balloon made up the wall space. Food, a lighbox, a lit up unicorn, and a rainbow centerpiece was the table along with array of food.

God bless the internet. Rainbow Pinwheels (I used garlic hummus instead :D)

Lightbox decor

Rainbow bites that didn't set properly, whoops. Fruity Pebble Krispie Treats essentially. 

My friends' favorite treats - basically a spring roll wrapper stuffed with meat

Fruit Rainbow! Such a beauty :D - watermelon, tangerines, mango, green grapes, blueberries, and purple grapes

 

Frothy Cloud Punch - So easy and delicious - rainbow sherbet with some 7 Up and edible gold stars! 

Even the water bottles had to shine!

Loved this tassel from Target along with confetti balloons and Christmas lights :)

To add to the decor, a cool quote and then picking your unicorn name

My friend made this gorgeous cake for me (I bought the horn and ears and eyelashes off Amazon) - and of course I created a snapchat filter for the party, because why not? YOLO right?

And of course, the party favors! Spray painted some unicorn toys from Amazon, glued them on top of a mini mason jar with kisses inside. 

Not pictured - Magical Lemonade - which was also fun. Butterfly Pea Tea with some lemonade resulted in a pretty magical drink ;)

We had a good time and I had fun doing all of this, even if I do stress myself out and am so extra haha

I just wanted to show my creation! I basically copied all of what's written Here and made my own diy shirt. It didn't turn out bad - but def got some spray on the sleeve...whoops!

High Tea Baby Shower

We had a baby shower for a friend of ours, so we decided to do a 'high tea' theme (or in hindi, cha)

Wreath (wrapped in ribbon) and cut out tea kettles and cups in scrapbook paper

Some prizes:

Pink nail polish: pre-tea in pink

Tea lights with washi tape: you're such a tea-light

Cutie tangerines: you're such a cu-tea

Smartie candies: go smar-tea pants!

Mug with watercolor nailpolish diy: aren't you a ho-tea!

Favors: tea bags wrapped in two mini doilies tied with ribbon

Emoji-ng Pong Test Review

I haven't posted in awhile, but I played this today with my class, finally using the emoji ping pongs I bought this summer from Five Below.

It was inspired by MissCalcul8 and her Fish Pong game and I changed it a little. I bought yellow cups from the Dollar Store and painted the rims, giving each one a different paint value. I drew the emojis on there so ignore the mess haha. I hot glued them on a printer box lid and the kids had to stand from a certain distance and throw their ping pong into the cup. 

They got one point for answering the question correctly [they're clickable emojis that go to a certain slide with their review questions for their test] - Yay Erintegration for some of the emojis :D 

I just printed out the first slide so I'd know which question was used. An easy way for me to track how many got done, etc. 

It was fun, engaging, and I know most had a blast trying to score! ....even if some did call it beer pong. Whoops.

DIY Lazy Susan

Hey y'all!

I haven't been here in a whiiiile. Mostly on IG instead, but wanted to do an update post :)

I bought a lazy susan this summer from Ikea after I had seen someone on Insta post her supply caddy and I was instantly hooked.

I FINALLY got it taken care of this weekend.

Items:
Lazy Susan
Spray Paint (rose gold and black)
Lace (spray painted it rose gold first, put the lace, and then spray painted it black)
E600 glue
Magnets (glue on the magnets to the lazy susan and the metal pails attract automatically)
7 Pails [Target <3_<3]

Of course, a pail of it's own for Flair pens and InkJoy Gel Pens.

I adore how it turned out, of course with it's imperfections haha

Spring Break or St. Patrick's Day Gift Idea

I truly adore Instagram. It has so many pretty pictures, helpful hashtags, and so many amazing teachers.

I found golden spray painted oreo's on Mrs Thomas' Teachable Moments instagram and added a cute little tag and voila, instant present :)

DIY: Make Up!

I found quite a few DIY pieces on YouTube and ideas from Pinterest so this is what I came up with :D

Brushes: Candle holder filled with rice, put brushes in handle side down

Lipsticks: I WAS going to make a pyramid, but they kept toppling probably because they're round. SO I put some glitter tape around glasses I picked up at the thrift store and then had another candleholder and arranged them by color and voila :D 

Make Up Tray: This might be one of my FAVORITE things I've done! Cookie tray from the dollar store, glitter tape on top, zebra duct tape on the sides, and lace glued down with a spray adhesive. I put magnets on the back of my makeup and then put command strips on the back of the tray and put them on the wall. 

Ahh, look at my pretty perfume bottles. Plate from the dollar store and a glass from it too. The glass I spray painted gold and then glued to the bottom of the plate. Then just set up the perfume on to the glass :)

It looks so much prettier and cleaner now (I put a basket also from Dollar Tree for other stuff). 

DIY Wire Frame

I found this link through Pinterest about a DIY picture frame with chicken wire and I thought it would be a great housewarming gift!

                                            

You need:
chicken wire (Home Depot)
wire cutter (Home Depot)
stapler (Home Depot)
clothespins (Home Goods)
frame (thrift store)
pictures
quotes (Michael's)

To do:

Take the glass and picture from the frame and lay your chicken wire across the back. Staple carefully every couple of squares. Snip the wire to the length necessary. Turn back around and pin your pictures and quotes.

It was super simple and I do love those clothespins! Turned out pretty well! Be careful of snipping the wire (the hardest part to be honest)

I do recommend printing smaller pictures [prob instagram size would be better] because if you have 4X6 you can only fit a couple.

I hope she likes it :)

Welcome Banner

First, I apologize for the terrible pictures.

I made a welcome banner for my classroom! Super simple :) All you need:

black cardstock

gold sharpie

cardstock

glue

scrapbook paper (mine is superhero themed)

scissors

ribbon (a wider one)

stapler

and tape to hang it up

First, make a template for your cardstock. I used my last years banner and just cut circles from it (the paper had bent by being in my garage - whoops)

Then cut a template from the scrapbook paper, whatever style you want. Mine was 6.5 in by 4.25 in.

 Glue paper on cardstock if it's not the thick kind, if it is, don't worry about it.

Write with the gold sharpie on the circles and glue that on the scrapbook paper.

Lay the banner on top of the ribbon, staple each corner to the ribbon.

Done!

I love the outcome :)

MMI: Toolbox Edition -- REDUX

If you saw my instagram, I had a 'fail' (IMO!) about my gold foil print from this tutorial.  I guess it's because of the cardstock? I tried it on regular paper and it wasn't too bad. It could be the laminator, it could be the gold foil, lots of reasons.

I made 2 teacher toolboxes for friends of mine! I actually LOVE how they turned out. I used the black/red template from Lovin' Lit. She has a pirate theme going on. I used my old one for her, and used leopard duck tape because she's a wild one ;)

 I left some blank for her to fill in as necessary :)

I LOVE how the back ended up looking even if it was a mistake *facepalm* Basically I printed a paper with the name and clip art at the bottom. I printed it Poster (through Adobe) and it printed on 4 sheets, but the size was too big for the clip art. Just enough for the names though! SO I taped it to cardstock. My conundrum? Too big for my laminator. 

My solution? Two lamination sheets, open ends touching (I overlapped on the back just a little and taped it down so it would feed through properly) and then let it go through. It worked! Yay!

Here's the other one I made. All me this time and I'm quite proud of how it turned out! I used this gorgeous metallic black spray paint (originally gray) and I hate how I spray paint (so many splotches), whatever though. I used dimensions from Create.Teach.Share :)
