MMI - cute planner accessory + classroom quote

Linking up with Tara at 4th Grade Frolics!

These Mondays make me a little more productive, plus I LOVE seeing what other people come up with. I suck at commenting but I will make it a POINT this week to comment on everybody's! Even if it takes all week haha.

I made a DIY band that would keep me on my page in my new planner (Target!)

Anyway, I saw this on A Modern Teacher's blog and thought it was ingeneous! I had the stretchy band (I like wearing them with my scarves, but this one was a little TOO tight so yay other uses) and I bought a three pack of burlap/lace flowers from Michael's :) All you need beyond that? Hot glue.
Super simple and super cute!
I read this quote in Teach Like a Pirate and knew I needed it in my class!

Can I just say I am OBSESSED with the font Sweet Pea now? So cute <3

  1. I'm loving that binder band idea! I've been using one of those gigantic, oversized paper clips to hold a spot in my lesson plan pages but I like this so much better!

  2. I love that quote! I think the binder band is a great idea - I use a binder clip - yours is so much cuter! Thanks for sharing!

  3. I love the binder band. I sometimes shove random papers in my planner so this would be good to make sure they don't fall out. I just bought a similar planner to yours at Target last night. I'm planning on making some modifications in the next week or two.

  5. I can so do the stretchy band thing. I have bought a ton of them for my hair and NEVER use them. You are right..other uses! Thanks for sharing your cutie-patootie one that you made!
